TCA Play Club 
                                         MONDAY's 12:00pm - 2:00pm

Play Club is a parent and toddler group held at Willingdon Trees Community Centre every Monday from 12 until 2pm

The group was founded and is run entirely by volunteers, parents of young children who were all saddened by the loss of Playlink in 2007 and wanted to ensure that a group for children remained at the community centre.  Six local mothers set the group up, with the help of the TCA’s Chairman, Dan Woolridge.  It held its first group on February 22nd 2007. 


Parents or carers who attend the group all join in and help setting up activities and tidying toys and equipment at the end of the session.  There is a craft rota and many parents have taken a turn in preparing an activity for the children. 

Play club has been very fortunate to have secured grants from Eastbourne Borough Council and Action in Rural Sussex which have enabled them to buy some lovely new toys as well as paying the rent for the hire of the hall.  

Parents from the local community, and further afield, have enjoyed getting together in an informal and relaxed atmosphere to watch their children play, learn and make friends.
