Lunch Club

 TUESDAY's 12:00pm - 2:00pm

November 2008 saw the launch of the Lunch Club. There had been several attempts to provide one at Holly Place, but since the WRVS left once their centre in town was refurbished, none had taken place here.  We began on a monthly basis, on the 4th Tuesday of the month, with lunch at 12.30.  Before the launch a willing band of helpers from St. Mary’s Willingdon undertook a day’s training course, and heaved a sigh of relief when we all passed the exam to qualify us for our Level 2 Award for Food Safety in Catering.  The Club was registered with Eastbourne Borough Council as a Food Business, we obtained the Safer Food, Better Business booklet and after a visit from the Council’s Environmental Health Inspector we were ready for the launch.  

By popular demand the lunches are served weekly.

Please do let Vicky know before the day if you are no longer able to attend as it is vital to know the numbers of those actually coming so that we cook the right amount on the day-  as we only take money on the day, and rely on people turning up if they have not cancelled.
